SHORT TERM MISSION TRIPS
An experience of a lifetime

Ideally, a short-term trip not only transforms the life of the missionary but would also be relevant to the community in which the missionary ministers. This ideal is difficult to attain without equal partnership from the field missionaries. Mutual partnership is crucial to successful short-term missions. Mission Generation’s extensive relationships throughout Bolivia provide the much needed partnership needed to insure a successful trip for all involved.

Mission Generation has access into the public and private schools in Bolivia including remote and primitive locations ideal for:

  • Medical teams
  • Church groups
  • Building team
  • Water/well projects

A short-term mission trip to Bolivia might include ministry in the highest inhabited places on earth, the Andes; or one of the most primitive place on earth, the Amazon basin. For fun there are exciting river trips, mountain climbing, sight seeing and eco-trips.

Ultimately, each organization and team that takes international short-term mission trips must humbly evaluate their motivation, be honest about their goals, and be culturally informed about the effect of their methodology. And while it's true that one of the fruits of a short-term trip is a life change for the missionaries, this should be viewed as a result and not the motivation for the enterprise.
