Mr. Thatcher is primarily envolved in commercial real estate. He has been married to his wife Julie Ann for 38 years. Julie is also a realtor and works with Caldwell Banker.
Their daughter Madison and their son-in-law John Vista live in Chicago with their son Bennett. Robert and Julie attend Sugar Grove Church in Elkhart, Indiana.
Robert has been a strong advocate for Mission Generation and has served as the Indiana State Director for 15 years.

Mission Generation currently has a nine-member board of directors who serve without any form of compensation.
